Yes. Uttarakhand Government registration is compulsory for every pilgrim and is checked before the temple. Carry the slip or QR code along with an original government ID.

Yes. There is no trekking, only short walks. However, the trip involves long drives and altitudes above 3,000 m, so anyone with heart, lung or blood pressure conditions should consult a doctor first.

Jio and Airtel generally work in Joshimath and Badrinath, but coverage drops in Mana and Niti Valley. Let your family know you may be unreachable for a few hours.
